Theia Lenses Prove a Hit with Oprema

Oprema are bringing the superior lens technology from Theia Technologies to their customers in a distribution deal secured in June 2012. The product range is set to strengthen Oprema's standing in the market place for IP and megapixel CCTV solutions and is being well received by their customers.

Theia's fixed and varifocal range offer ultra wide angle as well as telephoto focal lengths. This means megapixel and standard CCTV cameras can cover a wider area and offer the best coverage in awkward positions. The wide angle lenses incorporate patented Linear Optical Technology? allowing optical distortion correction in the lens, without the need for dewarping software, reducing installation and maintenance costs on multi camera systems.

Oprema have been actively encouraging installers to look at IP and megapixel technology for the past 18 months. Adding Theia to the equation gives excellent options for coverage. Customers have already used Theia on football grounds and high security military bases, indicating that the distribution partnership will be successful.
